Research Focus

Human embryonic stem cells.

Research Contributions

Demonstration of both spontaneous and directed in vitro differentiation of human embryonic stem cells. Developed the genetic manipulation as well as the establishment of models for human diseases using human embryonic stem cells.

Current investigations include:

Derivation of human embryonic stem cells within a CIRM program.
