Research Focus

Molecular pathogenesis of pituitary tumors, as well as pituitary receptor signaling. Employ molecular, cellular, transgenic animal, and human tissue models to understand the biology of these commonly encountered hormone-secreting adenomas. Test pituitary receptor signaling to develop novel peptide analog treatments for these tumors secreting growth hormone, prolactin, ACTH or gonadotropins.

Research Contributions

Leader in the discovery of pituitary cell cycle genes, and developed the application of novel peptide treatments for endocrine tumors.

Current investigations include:

Transgenic models of pituitary tumors. Pituitary receptor signaling. Pituitary progenitor cells. Pituitary tumor therapeutic outcomes.
